'Here and There' at Alliance Francaise

Though the name makes you ponder whether the artist had been on the
move and had set his brush to canvas in a variety of places, Sujith
Ratnayake hastens to set things straight by adding that it is not so. He
says that most of the paintings took shape in Colombo and the substance
of the work, layered beneath the colours , is about migrants and a peek
at their lives.
'Here and There' is showcasing at the Alliance Francaise de Colombo
till June 5, Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. And Saturdays from
10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The exhibition was declared open on May 13 at 6.30
p.m.
Sujith's latest collection consists of 25 paintings. The old boy of
Hungama Vijayaba Madya Maha Vidyalaya and Dikvella Kumaratunga Munidasa
Maha Vidyalaya had displayed his talent in a number of exhibitions in
the past years.
