DMM quiz competition
The University of Kelaniya will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary
this year and has organised a series of programs in this connection, a
media release said.
The Faculties and Departments of the University of Kelaniya have
organised a three-day exhibition starting on May 28 to highlight the
academic and professional streams for Sri Lankans including
schoolchildren, youth and professionals.
From a humble beginning as a unit under the Department of Commerce
and Financial Management, the Faculty of Commerce and Management
Studies, the Department of Marketing Management (DMM) was set up in 1998
and later upgraded as a separate department in 2005 in the University of
Kelaniya.
With marketing management as a discipline ever evolving and
organizations requiring professionals with updated futuristic
qualifications, DMM has realised the need of positioning itself as a
dynamic, innovative and market-oriented academic body and has produced
quality graduates to meet these challenges.
DMM joins as a part of this event with various activities. One
activity is to organize a quiz competition among Sri Lanka’s top rated
schools including national and international schools to disseminate
knowledge.
The Department has already invited 75 schools and the competition is
scheduled to be held May 26 at the University of Kelaniya, the release
