Booksellers and Importers Association AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Booksellers and Importers Association of Ceylon was held on May 2 at the Global Tower Hotel.

The new office bearers and committee members were selected at this meeting. Vijitha Yapa Group, Vijitha Yapa was elected President, Skay Enterprises Pvt Ltd K.Sivasothy was elected Secretary, MaCallum Book Shop, U.K.Silpadasa as Treasurer, Lake House Book Shop Miles Brohier as Vice President, Sarasavi Book Shop Pvt Ltd Chandu Haputhanthri as Asst.Seceretary and Samayawardhane Book Shop Dinushi Weeraman as Asst.Treasurer.

The Committee Members selected were M.K.C.Gnanasekera (Past President) of C.G.Associates, Dr.Newton Peries of International Book House, Samaranayake of Expographic, Subasinghe of Taprobane Book Shop, Santiago of Pitraban, Sritharasingh of Poobalasingham Book Depot, Mohideen Aysha Book Centre, Sajeed Makeen of Makeen Books and Tharshana Jeyarajah of Jeya Book Centre Pvt Ltd.
