Army and Police in convincing wins

The Army Basketball club beat Wennappuwa Knight Basketball Club by 90 points to 66 in the Otters Diamond Jubilee president's cup Basketball championship 2009.

At half time Army led 44 points to 34. The highest scores for Army BC were K.W.G. Buddika (25) and Koddikara (22) points. Gavi Cooray (22) and Virantha Bastian (10) were the leading scorers for the Wennappuwa Knight Basketball club.

Army Basketball player K.W.G. Buddika was adjudged best player of the match.

In the other match Police sports club beat Buffalo basket ball club by 73 points to 51 in the same tournament.At half time Buffalo sports Club were trailing by 26-35 points.

Ranga Perera (17) and Savinda Wikramasinghe (09) excelled for Buffalo Basketball team. The Police team's top scorers were Sujith Master (23) and Sujeewa Sampath (12). Best player of the match was Police player Sujeewa Sampath.
