Admission to Grade One

The following procedure will be adopted relating to admission of children to grade one in schools from 2009

Cabinet approved a Memorandum submitted by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha to implement the percentages as indicated below for admission of children to Grade One.

For proximity of the residence 50 percent, Other qualifications For past pupils 25 percent, For brothers/sisters 15 percent, Children of officers in Public Service.
