Junior soccerites leave for Iran today

The Lankan squad is led by J.K. Thenura of Susamayawardena MV, Borella with M.Z. Mohamed Izmeer accompany the team as manager.

This year eight countries will be seen in action at this festival. Countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

All teams will play each other in friendly games during their stay in Iran. These young players will also be given training on latest technical aspects, tactical play and also in nutrition values.

Thilak Alponsu from Badulla FL will be the head coach of the team while his deputy in S.D.J. Lashmeer Silva of Colombo Municipality and Zahira College Coach.
