New Chief Secretary
District Secretary, Moneragala M.B. Dissanayake has been appointed
Chief Secretary, Southern Province with immediate effect by President
Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Dissanayake, a senior class I officer in the Sri Lanka Administrative
Service has served as an Asst. Govt. Agent, Deputy Land Commissioner,
Divisional Secretary, Additional Govt., Agent, Secretary to the Governor
and District Secretary in various parts of the island.
He has a Special Degree in Economics from the University of Kelaniya
and the LLB Degree from the Open University of Sri Lanka, has obtained a
Postgraduate Degree in Public Management from the Sri Lanka Institute of
Development Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Survey
Integration from the ITC, the Netherlands.
Dissanayake, who is the founder General Secretary of All-Island
Divisional Secretaries’ Association, has functioned as an Assistant
Secretary, SASA too.
Being an Attorney-at-Law, Dissanayake has performed as a Resource
Person in Law, Management and English Language in many Training
Institutions.
He has functioned as a team leader in the Distance Education Program
for Public Servants and a Translator of the Banker’s Institute of Sri
Lanka. He possess certificates in French, German, Japanese & Tamil
Languages. |
