Moratuwa Cricket School win Max Trophy Twenty20 tournament

The Max Trophy Twenty-20 Tournament organized by Max Sports of Bangalore, India, came to an end with the Under-14 and 17 teams of Moratuwa Cricket School (MCS) winning the series.

During their tour of Bangalore MCS the under 14 team beat Bangalore Royal by 8 wickets, Max Sports 'A' by 74 runs, Max Sports 'B' by 11 runs, Bangalore International School by 5 runs and lost to Bangalore Invitation XI by 4 wickets.

The Award for the Best Bowler was awarded to Rishan Hannan, while the award for Best Batsman and Man of the Series was carried away by Geeth Perera of MCS.

The Under 17 Max Trophy Championship was won by Moratuwa Cricket School team beating Bangalore Royal by seven wickets, Max Sports 'A' by 8 wickets, Max Sports 'B' by seven wickets, Bangalore International School by 71 runs and Bangalore Invitation XI by 48 runs.

In their category the Best Bowler Award was won by Ruwan Sampath while Best Batsman and Man of the Series Award by Viraj Madawa of MCS.

The tour was organised by the Director of Moratuwa Cricket School Bandula de Silva under the guidance of Assistant Coaches, Nuwan Peiris and Wikum Jayasinghe.
