Chamari new skipper

The national selectors yesteron Wednesday named Chamari Polgampola as the new captain of the Sri Lanka women’s cricket team for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s Twenty20 World Cup to be staged from June 5 to 22 in England. The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team approved by the Minister of Sports:

Chamari Polgampola (Captain), Eshani Kaushlya (vice captain), Hiruka Fernando, Deepika Rasangika, Rose Fernando, Dilini Manodara, Udeshika Probodani, Sripali Weerakody, Chamari Attapathu, Sadamali Dolawatha, Chamilka Bandara, Sumudu Fernando, Saduni Abeywickrama, Inoka Galagedara

Standbys: Chandi Wickramasinghe, Maduri Samudika, Chandrika Jeevani.

Officials on tour: Indrani Ariyaratne (Manager), Chitral Mendis (Coach), Dinendra Jayasinghe (Trainer), Venuka Nishanthi (Physiotherapist), Naweer Nawaz (Consultant).
