Over 100 unauthorised constructions removed

Police yesterday removed 107 unauthorized commercial constructions close to the Central Bus Stand in Pettah due to security concerns.

According to Police sources, no incident was reported in the area when the officials were engaged in removing the unauthorized constructions.

Colombo Municipality sources said that the removing of the unauthorized constructions has been carried out without their knowledge and refused to make any comment.
