Be more creative to build a great Nation- Chief Justice

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Institute of
Advanced Legal Studies at the Sri Lanka Law College newly built
auditorium premises recently.
The Chief Justice said participating at the inauguration ceremony of
the Advanced Legal Studies led by the Advanced Legal Studies Unit
Director Deputy Solicitor General Yasantha Kodagoda and Advanced Legal
Studies Unit Assistant Director Senior State Counsel Ayesha Jinasena was
a historic occasion.
"Be more creative to build a great nation. This Unit will have more
ideas than more money," the Chief Justice emphasised. "A major
refurbishment plan was carried out throughout the country including
Jaffna and Mannar districts. We have given a new look to the Court
buildings in those areas. This is a program to build a united nation in
the country. For this purpose the Justice Ministry helps develop these
courts premises," the Chief Justice added.
The Director and the Staff of the newly established Institute of
Advanced Legal Studies presented a memento to Chief Justice Sarath Nanda
Silva PC in recognition and appreciation of his visionary contribution
towards the advancement of legal education in Sri Lanka.
Justice Saleem Marsoof PC, Attorney General Mohan Pieris PC,
Principal Law College Dr. W.D. Rodrigo, BASL President W. Dayaratne,
Advanced Legal Studies Unit Director DSG Yasantha Kodagoda, ALSU
Assistant Director Senior State Counsel Ayesha Jinasena were at the head
table with the Chief Guest. |
