Hameedia launches 'The Grooms' Studio'

Hameedia launched 'The Grooms' Studio', Sri Lanka's first-ever such facility which offers prospective bridegrooms a total solution under one roof. Chief Executive Officer Standard Chartered Bank Clive Haswell was the chief guest.

'The Grooms' Studio' is the first-of-its-kind in the region and caters to the minutest details of bridegrooms-to-be, literally from head to toe. The flagship store has over 10,000 sq. feet with a specially dedicated floor where nearly 2000 sq. feet are devoted to grooms, with an additional 4000 sq. feet devoted to formal suits.

Hameedia Managing Director Fouzul Hameed said that around 90 percent of Sri Lankan bridegrooms were unfortunately a sadly neglected species in comparison to their brides.

"Tradition has it that a great deal of attention is paid to brides months ahead of the wedding, whereas the groom is almost taken for granted. It was primarily with this in mind that 'The Grooms' Studio' was conceived and then created", Hameed said.

A prospective bridegroom can avail himself of the specialised consultancy services of Fouzul Hameed and his experienced grooming team at 'The Groom's Studio, with regard to every facet of a man's grooming requirements.

He will be advised on all his clothing needs from head to toe - from which kind of suit to choose, to how to match his accessories with special emphasis on individual tastes and preferences.

This also includes the groom's entire retinue, to complete the total picture. Creating a Sri Lankan first, 'The Grooms' Studio' is geared to creating custom-made clothes for the groom, if he wishes to harmonise with the bride's colour schemes.

A special feature here is that shirts, ties and socks can be custom-made so as to match with the bridal retinue and thus create a perfect picture on that special day.

"Being Sri Lanka's leading menswear specialist, we deal with a wide range of original brands, international labels and also our own. This has enabled us to further cater to the personalized and diverse needs of the groom from shirts, bows, handkerchiefs and ties to belts, socks and even shoes", Hameed added.

'Being a bridegroom doesn't only involve dressing well and looking good. It also involves deportment and the total look. The experience at 'The Grooms' Studio' thus does not stop at clothes alone but encompasses areas like hair and skin care, posture and manners since these too are vital components for the overall look. In fact nothing is impossible.

"With our years of experience in men's grooming, 'The Grooms' Studio' guarantees all bridegrooms a total look for a perfect experience", Hameed said.
