An agreement on breaking news between Dialog GSM and the Director Government Information was made at the Ministry of Information yesterday.

On the request of the Government the Chairman Asia Broadcasting Corporation Reno Silva made a donation for the welfare of the civilians of the North who had fled LTTE held areas. It was handed over to Media and Information Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa at the Ministry.

Executive Director of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society Neville Nanayakkara had agreed to set up a field hospital for 500 patients in the North for the benefit of the civilians who had fled the LTTE held areas. Documents regarding the project was handed over to the Minister of Media and Information Anura Priyadarshana Yapa at the Information Ministry yesterday.
