'Artistes always support President's endeavours'

We can see a Sri Lanka without a conflict for the first time after 30 years. So we should be very grateful to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and the heroic Armed Forces for helping eradicate terrorism from our motherland and ushering peace.

This is not an easy task. We were able to overcome all internal and external conspiracies hatched to destabilise our country,' said President, Artistes for the Country National Organization Senaka Wijesinghe.

He said as Sri Lankans and artistes, we are always ready to support the President's endeavours to protect the country.

Chief Organizer of the Artistes for the Country Organization Palitha Silva said though the war will end very soon, it will take some time to solve some problems.

While paying tribute to our gallant Armed Forces, we should also look after the well-being of their families.

He said their organization always works to build a better Sri Lanka.

Secretary of the Artistes for the Country Organization Buddhi Wickrama also spoke.
