Mobitel Relay Carnival on May 4, 5 and 6

Mobitel Relay Carnival conducted by the Athletic Association of Sri Lanka together with Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association and sponsored by Sri Lanka Telecom-Mobitel will be held at the Sugathadasa stadium on May 4, 5 and 6. Sixty six schools will take part in the Inter-School boys relay championship and 57 schools in the inter-school girls relay championship. Another attractive event in the Mobitel Relay carnival will be the Inter-club championship.

Nine teams will take part in the Men’s Club Championship, seven teams in the women’s club championship. Sixteen men and 22 women competitors will take part in the Decathlon Championship which will be worked-off during the relay carnival. “It is significant to note that many schools from the North and East will also take part this year,” said Athletic Chief Major Gen. Palitha Fernando.

Twenty-two new records were established at last year’s Mobitel-Relay carnival. Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom-Mobitel Leisha De Silva Chandrasena will be the Chief Guest at the Relay carnival.
