'Dragonball Evolution' to roll at Liberty

A young boy named Goku seeks out upon his grandfather's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls (of which he has one) in order to prevent Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world.

A scene from the movie

In the movie, a chosen warrior must save mankind from enemy aliens who have come to destroy the earth.

The warrior, a young man, must find the dragon balls which were once created by seven mystics in a past effort to protect earth from the evil enemies.

Dragonball: Evolution is based on the popular Japanese Manga created by Akira Toriyama, whose work spawned best selling graphic novels, video games and a phenomenally successful television series.

The live action adventure centres on the heroic Goku, a powerful warrior who discovers his inner strength and protects the Earth from an evil rogue bent on dominating the Universe and controlling the mystical objects from which the film takes its name.

The cast comprises Justin Chatwin, Emmy Rossum, Jamie Chung, James Marsters, Yun-Fat Chow, Randall Duk Kim, Ernie Hudson Joon Park and others.

'Dragonball Evolution', directed by James Wong, will begin screening at Liberty cinema from April 10.
