National Savings Bank reduces interest rates on housing loans

National Savings Bank has taken decision to reduce housing loan interest rates upto 2 percent with effect from April 3. This is to coincide with the initiatives taken by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and also to pass the benefit to the public and also to the related industry in general to stimulate the economy and the industry.

The General Manager of the National Savings Bank S.P.R. Perera said that as a state bank it is the responsibility of the bank to bear in mind the obligation towards the general public. With this interest rate reduction it is expected to boost the related industry and activities related thereto.
