LTTE technical wing leader killed

LTTE Technical Wing Leader S. Kirupakaran alias Madivalahan was killed in a recent attack by the Security Forces in Mullaittivu. Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said the intercepting of the LTTE communication has confirmed that Kirupakaran was killed in the Vanni battlefield.

According to Defence sources the LTTE offered the self-styled 'Lt.Colonel' status to the slain senior LTTE cadre on Tuesday who was said to be the mastermind and chief coordinator of the LTTE satellite cum radio communication network.

Madivalahan was born in Jaffna and spent most of his time in Trincomalee before joining the LTTE as a full time activist.
