Applications called for degree in social work
The National Institute of Social Development (NISD) functioning under
the purview of the Ministry of Social Services and Social Welfare and
approved by the University Grants Commission has called up applications
for its 2009 degree program in social work from suitably qualified
students at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination held in 2008.
The National Institute of Social Development (NISD) is the only
higher education institution awarding degrees and diplomas in
professional social work.
Social Services and Social Welfare Minister Douglas Devananda has
made a request from all persons with suitable qualifications to pursue
these courses conducted at the NISD as there are many job opportunities
in the sphere of social work both at private and public sector for
professionally qualified social workers.
The degree program in social work for which applications are called
will be conducted in English and the applications can be obtained from
the Registrar, National Institute of Social Development, No. 498A,
Nawala Road, Rajagiriya before April 26. |
