Scout Association fetes SSP

Sri Lanka Scout Association has awarded 'The Thanks Badge' to Galle District Senior Superintendent of Police Keerthi de Silva in appreciation of services to scouting.

De Silva was also awarded the Queen's Scout Badge by Richmond College, Galle in 1972. He was the only Southern Range Scout to receive The William Gopollawa award.

SSP de Silva also has been elected uncontested to the post of Chairman of the Galle Football Association at the annual general meeting held recently.

An old boy of Richmond College, Galle he was a distinguished student who held the post of Senior Cadet of the College and a Queen's Scout.
