Children's sports festival

Over 80 boys and girls from Trincomalee, Matara and Nattandiya took part in the children's sports festival held at the sports school, Nattandiya recently.

The children belonging to all three communities Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims took part in volleyball, swimming, cricket and games of skill during the three-day festival.

Accommodation and meals for the children from Trincomalee and Matara were provided by the sports school, Nattandiya. The festival was organised by the AGSEP with the aim of bringing about friendship and understanding between the children of the three main communities through sports. The chief co-ordinator was Lana Nessler.
