Lucky Rogers - a superb coach
Dilwin Mendis Moratuwa Sports corr.
The present Ananda College cricket coach Lucky Rogers motivated the
team to be one of the best and to break the record for the most number
of victories for a Schools Cricket Season beating the record held by
Moratu Vidyalaya under Suranga Fernando in 1994/95 season.
Lucky Rogers is a fine cricketer produced by Moratu Vidyalaya.
He scored 1,493 runs including a double hundred and he was a talented
wicket keeper. In that year, he won several awards including that of
Best Outstation Cricketer of the Year.
In the same year, he was the leading light behind winning the Sharona
Trophy for his school and represented Sri Lanka Schools under 19 cricket
team against Bangladesh.
After leaving school, he played for Nondescript Cricket Club. He also

He is a versatile coach and the Anandians look forward to him to
