NFF support for Yal Devi project

National Freedom Front led by parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa has expressed solidarity with the Uthuru-Mithuru Yal devi project launched by the Government by promising financial support towards the completion of the railway station and few kilometres of the railway track.

This was revealed at a discussion NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa had with Transport Minister Dullas Alahapperuma immediately after the inauguration of the project last Monday.

In addition to this financial support derived from a fund to be set up with the use of money from 12 parliamentarians and provincial councillors necessary labour for construction work to will be provided by members of the party, the NFF Leader said.

The fact that the Government has taken the initiative to implement this project which is a concept mooted first by National Partotic Movement is highly gratifying, NFF leader Wimal Weerawansa said.
