Galle CC-Rio SC match ends in no decision

The Sara Trophy division one match between Galle CC and Rio SC, Ambalangoda ended in a no decision as the match was interrupted on two occasions on day one of the game due to adverse weather conditions.

Galle CC who resumed on Sunday with their overnight score of 163 for 5 scored 275 for 9 declared in their first innings. In reply Rio were 191 for 7 at close on the second day.

Galle CC Skipper Hiranta Wijesinghe's 81 in 196 minutes which included one six and seven fours was the highlight of the Galle CC's first innings. Sampath Samarasekara of Rio shone with 71 in 107 balls in their first innings.
