Mobile service to register indigenous doctors

The Ayurvedic Department has launched a mobile service to register
all indigenous doctors at provincial level.
According to sources the mobile service will provide an opportunity
to doctors who are unable to come to the Department to get registered.
The Ministry of Indigenous Medicine hopes to register all indigenous
doctors in the country through this mobile service.
Accordingly, all indigenous doctors between the ages of 30-50 years
should get through the written test after presenting themselves for an
interview.
Doctors over the age of 50 years should present themselves for an
interview only. The written test will be conducted in June. The
Ayurvedic Medical Council will assist the doctors who are over 70.
An Ayurvedic Medical Council official told the Daily News that mobile
services have already been conducted in the Mannar, Kurunegala districts
and steps have been already taken to conduct this service in Ratnapura
and Kegalle districts in the near future. |
