Tamil courses lead to teaching possibilities:
Technical education modernising many countries
Several countries have been modernised by Technical Education,
Minister of Vocational and Technical Training Piyasena Gamage said
recently.
Newly set up Nuwara Eliya Vocational Training Centre which
functions under the Vocational Training Authority (VTA) of Sri
Lanka, was opened by the Minister of Vocational and Technical
Training Piyasena Gamage and the Minister of Livestock
Development C.B. Ratnayake, recently. Minister of Vocational and
Technical Training Piyasena Gamage, Minister of Investment
Promotion Naveen Dissanayake, Deputy Minister of Vocational and
Technical Training P. Radhakrishnan and Chairman of the
Vocational Training Authority Major General, Thilak Ponnamperuma
are also in the picture. |
He was speaking at the opening of a new three-storeyed building of
the Nuwara Eliya Vocational Training Centre which functions under the
Vocational Training Authority (VTA) of Sri Lanka. The building was
constructed at a cost of Rs. 35 million under the provisions of the
Ministry of Vocational and Technical Training.
The most significant institution under my Ministry is the Vocational
Training Authority of Sri Lanka.
Courses in Tamil were launched at the Nuwara Eliya Technical College
to train teachers to teach in Tamil has posed a problem.
They will be recruited by the Vocational and Technical Training
