Gangoda props up Trinity

Trinity College had made 196 all out on the opening day of their inter-school cricket match against Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa which began at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday.

The match will be continued today at 9.30 a.m. Highlight of the match was a good knock of 60 by Dilan Gangoda during the course of which he became the ninth schoolboy batsman to pass 1,000 runs this season.

Trinity College 196 all out in 66.4 overs (Kithmal Wimalaweera 40, Niroshan Dickwella 28, Dilan Gangoda 60, M. Sajid 14, Akila Jayasundera 22, Buddhika Alwis 4 for 40, Dilan Chandima 3 for 30).

Prince of Wales College 40 for 1 wkts at close in 12.5 overs (Shehan Dammalage 19 n.o., Nipuna Chamara 19 n.o., M. Shehan 1 for 10).
