BANGLADESH: The Bangladeshi Government on Wednesday formed
task forces at the country's all 64 districts and 481 sub-districts to
monitor prices of essentials intensely, said a senior official.
The Commerce Ministry official Bikash Chandra Saha told Xinhua on
Wednesday that chiefs of district administration will be heads of
district level task forces while executive officers of sub- districts
will lead the sub-district task forces.
The district and sub-district task forces will take necessary
measures to keep prices of essentials within buying capacities of local
people, he said, quoting a Commerce Ministry notification issued on
Wednesday. Chandra said the task forces will also assess local demand
