The depositors of Golden Key will continue their protest campaign
against Chairman, Ceylinco Lalith Kotelawela until they get their
deposited money in full. President of Golden Key Depositor's Association
S. Anusha said that Ceylinco Chairman Lalith Kotalawela is ninety per
cent responsible for the fraud and a few others are also involved in it.
A large number of depositors gathered at Lipton Roundabout yesterday
morning and later dispersed near Bray brook Roundabout.
Anusha said that six months ago she deposited a considerable amount
of money with Golden Key and her monthly interest was delivered to her
door step for four months but nothing was paid for the last two months.
Another depositor, Samantha Walpola said Ceylinco Chairman Kotelawela
is still cheating people despite he is being remand and the depositors
will continue to protest to make people aware of his wrongful acts. Some
people are still paying for Gramin project without knowing that Ceylinco
is collapsed, he said.
Basnayaka Nilame of Ratnapura Saman Devalaya Uchitha Sanka Abeysekara
is also a victim and he said that the depositors are respectable people
who should not go on protest campaigns like this but they are compelled
to do it because Rs. 26 billion is not little money. |
