President returns early

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is on a State visit to Nepal yesterday decided to cut short his visit by a day following the terrorist attack on Sri Lankan Cricket team in Lahore.

The President will return to the country a day ahead in view of the attack near the Gadaffi stadium in Lahore after completing his official engagements, a release issued by the Foreign Ministry said yesterday.

President Rajapaksa was the first Head of State to visit the Republic of Nepal since 2002.
