President meets Nepali PM
Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa who is on a three-day official
visit to Nepal held bilateral discussions with the Nepali Premier,
Pushpakamal Dahal at his official residence, Singha Durbar in Kathmandu.
Regional Cooperation was a prominent item in their agenda. Two
bilateral agreements, namely the launch of direct flights between the
two countries and an MoU on agriculture, education, trade and cultural
matters were also signed.
The Sri Lankan President, who is also the SAARC President is the
first foreign Head of State to visit Nepal.
President Mahinda Raja-paksa and his entourage joined a special
luncheon offened by the Nepali Prime Minister.
