Ananda fight back
Ananda College after being dismissed for 169 hit back to have St.
Joseph's College struggling at 138 for 8 wickets in their under 19
inter-school cricket match which began at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.
The Anandians batting first were helped by two fine knocks by skipper
Dinesh Chandimal (54) and Udesh Nadeeranga (41) before their middle
order collapsed against the pace cum spin combination of Dinal
Dhambarage (3 for 40) and Shameera Weerasinghe (5 for 40).
The Josephians in reply found run making difficult against medium
pacer Ruvinda Shamen (4 for 40) and spinner Chathura Herath (2 for 29)
and were 138 for 8 at close.
