Prabaharan wins

P. Rajaratnam in Nuwara Eliya

The Nuwara Eliya Gold Club organised a series of golf matches during the long week-end coinciding with the influx of holiday crowds.

The Club championship was won by the amateur champion young Prabaharan who scored 4/2. The runner-up was Alan Gyi. In the Sknska Golden Putter the winner was Sarath Piyaratne with 39 points, while Murugiah Balendran was the runner-up with 32 points. The winner of the Buckanan Cup was D.S. Yim with 36 points and Sarath Piyaratne with 31 points.

The Fernley competition was won by Sarath Piyaratne with 34 points while D.S. Yim with 32 points. The events followed with a club night, where the prizes were awarded by the captain of the club M. Balendren and vice captain Ken Murray.
