Half centuries by Sameera Abeyratne 67 (7 fours), Ajith
Pallihawardana (50) and Thirantha Dissanayake (55) helped Vidyaratha
College, Kandy, to run up a big total of 352 on the first day of their
inter school cricket match against Royal College, Panadura which began
at the Open Prison Camp grounds at Pallekelle yesterday. The match will
be continued today at 9.30 a.m.
At close Royal College, Panadura were in a bad way with the
scoreboard reading 67 for 3 still requiring 185 runs to avoid the follow
on.
