Police seek public help to find the whereabouts of Kristina Nelum
Samarakkody, 19, of 54/11, 03rd Lane, Hansagiri Road, Gampaha who has
been missing since May 31, 2000.
She has black hair and fair in complexion with two protruding teeth
on her upper jaw.
Information on her whereabouts can be forwarded to the OIC, Gang
Robbery Bureau.

Beginning of Rabi-unil-Awwal Hijri 1430
The Colombo Grand Mosque yesterday announced that it was decided to
commence the Islamic month of Rabhi-unil-Awwal Hijri 1430 from yesterday
evening.
Neinage Suduwa at Elphinstone
Popular drama Neinage Suduwa will be staged at the Elphinstone
theatre, Maradana today at 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. to raise funds for
the Welfare Society of Ministry of Plan Implementation. The drama is
directed by Bandara Kelegama and produced by Kithsiri Hewagamage.
DS sports meet today
The sports meet of D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo will be held
today at 1.00 p.m. at New Grounds, Vidya Mawatha, Colombo 07 under the
patronage of Bank of Ceylon Deputy General Manager H.M.A.B. Weerasekara.
The school's primary sports meet will be held on the same day from 8.30
a.m.
Josephian prize day
The 107th annual prize giving of St. Joseph's College, Colombo will
be held today at 3.00 p.m. at the sports complex auditorium.

Job fair for the disabled
A job fair for persons with disabilities with various skills will be
held at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo tomorrow from 9.30
a.m to 3.00 p.m.
This is following the Government's policy decision to reserve three
per cent of employment opportunities to persons with disabilities.
Appointed SLFP Organiser for Galle District
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed his Co-ordinating Secretary
Sajin Vas Gunawardena as the SLFP Organiser for the Galle District.
Vas Gunawardena has contributed extensively in the Maga Neguma
program since its inception.
Sajin Vas Gunawardena is the son of A. De Vas Gunawardena, former
