Aluth Sahal Mangalyaya on April 4, 5

Aluth Sahal Manglyaya, a traditional festival to invoke blessings on a bountiful harvest will be held at the precincts of the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi on April 4 and 5.

A motorcade carrying Aluth Sahal, the new harvest from the four directions will perform the age-old ritual at the Bodhiya precincts. Agriculture and Agrarian Services Minister Maithripala Sirisena and many Parliamentarians are expected to participate.
