TN Police seize diesel, drugs bound for Lanka

Tamil Nadu police yesterday seized 200 litres of diesel and a packet of drugs suspected to be meant for smuggling to Sri Lanka and arrested one person in this connection at the Chinna Muttam fishing harbour.

Following a tip off, a police team went to the fishing harbour and found 200 litres of diesel in 10 cans, a packet with 150gm of drugs and a letter with instructions on delivery along the seashore.

One person has been arrested in this connection, the UNI News Agency said.
