EU condemns attack
The European Union has strongly condemned Friday’s LTTE suicide
attack in Colombo which claimed the lives of three people and injured
more than 50 others.
Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic K. Schewarzenberg expressed
the EU’s strong condemnation of the LTTE attack during a press briefing
in Brussels on Monday to announce the outcome of the 2925th General
Affairs Council meeting.
Foreign Minister Schwarzenberg said: “Minister’s agreed on the
Council’s conclusions on Sri Lanka which are calling for immediate
cessation of hostilities providing for full and unrestricted access
allowing humanitarian aid to be delivered and allowing civilians to
leave the conflict area.
The EU strongly condemns the LTTE’s latest suicide attack on Colombo
on February 20, which claimed the lives of three people and injured more
