Consistent batting down the line by Trinity College batsmen helped
them to total 252 on the opening day of their inter-school cricket match
against D.S. Senanayake College, Colombo which began at the Asgiriya
Stadium in Kandy yesterday. At close D.S. Senanayake College had replied
with 56 for 3 at close.
There were no big scores by the Trinity batsmen but seven of them
entered double figures with Dinuk Weeraratne (45) being the highest
scorer. Spinner Navin Kavikara bowled will to capture 5 for 58.
