Father-son combination with new CDs

Veteran vocalist, Gration Ananda, who had had gifted many memorable
creations like Adara Sinuwa Pem Lowa Doralanga, Podi Duwage, Obalanga
Nathi Mesasare, Tharu Yayen Ethin Ethata, Bilidune Daruwane and many
more, will launch his latest CD at the Namel Malini Punchi Theatre on
February 14 at 9 a.m.
The CD comprises 23 songs sung live at his solo music programme
Ananda Rathriya, super concert and will be launched at a musical show
featuring Gration Ananda along with Angeline Goonetileke, Champa Kalhari
Jayasekara, Uresha Ravihari and Chandrika Siriwardena. Stwo songs by
popular Hindi song experts, Mohammed Rafee and Kishor Kumar will also be
sung as a tribute to them.
Gration’s son, Mario Angelo will also launch Gayana Gayum made up of
16 tracks which includes tunes he had set to music.
His CD includes songs sung by his father, Angeline Goonetileke,
Natasha Perera and his sister Dulanjalee Chathurya. Her duet with her
father set to music by her brother and penned by her mother Srima
Chandrani is a song which will go down in history as the piece is the
work of all the members of one family.
A student of St. Joseph’s College, Mario is following studies in
Commerce. His debut album includes songs sung by some of his fellow
students Dilshan Fernando with Ranga Perera, Joy Saffer and Shenal
Perera. Mario, his mother and Shelton Weeraratne penned the lyrics for
the CD.
