The 1st round of the Youth Services and Rupavahini 25th volleyball tournament jointly organised by the National Youth Services Council and Rupavahini Corporation was held on January 29 and 30 at the National Youth Centre, Maharagama.

Ten men's teams and 12 women's teams participated.

Kurunegala, Moneragala, Puttalam and Badulla women's teams and Gampaha, Galle, Kurunegala and Hambantota men's teams were qualified for the semi-finals.

The semi-finals of the tournament will be played on February 9 and 10 at Mahava Vijayaba National School grounds at Mahava, Kurunegala.

The league system will be adopted at the semi-finals of the tournament. The finals will also be held at the same venue. The date of the finals will be notified.
