Terrorists flourished under UNP - Minister

The terrorists were fed and armed by the UNP and their short sighted policies.

The President is taking corrective measures to change this, Fisheries Minister Filix Perera said.

The Minister said UNP supporters who realised this truth have rallied round the Government. "We are confident that with this trend this coming local and provincial elections could be won. In 1977, when the United Front Govt handed over the Govt to the UNP it was a unitary State. This changed in 1983."

"I have gone to the North. I have seen Prabhakaran.

"Former President Chandrika has seen him. This coming Provincial Council is very important. Think of the Motherland and cast your vote," Minister Perera said.
