Appointed Honorary Consul

Sunil Gamage has been appointed Honorary Consul for Sri Lanka in the Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, by the Government of Sri Lanka, with his consulate at Tsukuba City.

Gamage who hails from Ambalantota was a reputed exponent of Karate as well as an athlete during his youth. He had his education at the Theraputtha Maha Vidyalaya, Ambalantota and proceeded to Japan about 20 years ago to study Japanese language, culture and marshal arts.

He is a leading businessman and a social worker domiciled in Ibaraki Ken, Japan.
