The recovered LTTE submarine

Army Commander Lt. General Sarath Fonseka and a team of several military officers visited the Vanni battlefront yesterday. He was received by Major General Jagath Dias. The Army Commander expressed his gratitude to his men for their achievements in the battlefield and also inquired about the facilities provided to the civilians arriving from the LTTE-held areas. Area security chiefs apprised the Army Commander of the stocks of military hardware recovered from the LTTE terrorists.

The bigger craft was 35 feet in length, military sources said.
