Rangers beats Falkirk to reach League Cup final
Nacho Novo's first-half double led defending champion Rangers into
the Scottish League Cup final in a 3-0 victory over Falkirk on Tuesday.
Kris Boyd, who was recalled to the team along with Novo, iced the
trip to Hampden Park with a goal two minutes from the end of the
semifinal. Rangers will discover on Wednesday whether Celtic or Dundee
United awaits in the March 15 final.
"We enjoyed the three finals we got to last year and hopefully we can
enjoy them this year if we get there," Rangers manager Walter Smith
said. The Glasgow side was ahead after eight minutes when Pedro Mendes'
corner was flicked on by Madjid Bougherra and Novo was at the back post
to bundle the ball over the line. GLASGOW,
