Rupavahini volleyball finals on February 11

The finals of the 25th volleyball tournament (men and women) organised jointly by the National Youth Services Council and the National Rupavahini Corporation will be held on February 11 at 2 p.m. at the Pradeshiya Sabha grounds, Mahava in the Yapahuwa electorate in Kurunegala district.

Except for Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu districts 23 other districts participated at the tournament. This district level competitions are already over and the inter-district competitions will be held on January 29 and 30 at the National Youth Centre, Maharagama.

46 teams (men and women) are participating in the tournament. The semi-finals will be played on February 9th and 10th at the National Youth Centre, Maharagama. The finals (men and women) of the tournament will be played on February 11 at 2 p.m. at Pradeshiya Sabha grounds, Mahava in Yapahuwa electorate in Kurunegala district.

The awards and cash prizes presentation ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. with the association of Youth Affairs Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Sports and Public Recreations Minister Gamini Lokuge, Media and Information Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Chairman of Rupavahini Corporation Dr. Ariyaratne Ethugala and the Chairman and Director General Bhaswara Senanka Gunaratne.
