LTTE lodging facility discovered

Officers of the STF Kokkadaicholai and Batticaloa camps conducted a joint search operation in the Ambalanturai and Palugamam mangrove areas on January 22 and discovered a LTTE lodging facility and recovered some arms and other items left behind by the Tiger cadres, Police headquarters in a press release stated.

The items recovered were one T56 rifle, two pressure mines, one set of medical equipment, one CDMA phone antenna, one flag with the LTTE emblem and one channel 12 GPS.
