UPFA victory inevitable- UPFA candidate

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has taken every possible step to eradicate terrorism and bring peace and prosperity to the country. Therefore there is no doubt about winning of the PC polls, Abdul Saththar, UPFA candidate for the North Western Provincial Council said.

“All communities will be able to live in peace. I am the only Muslim candidate contesting the PC polls. I am bound to solve the problems faced by the Muslims. It is a huge challenge.

The Governments came to power earlier were unable to find successful solutions to the problems faced by the Muslims.

This situation emerged due to various reasons. Most Muslims face economic problems. Most lead a hand to mouth existence,” he said.

He also said his main objective is to serve the people through Pradeshiya Sabha, Provincial Council and the Parliament.

He said there were 80 Muslim schools in the Kurunegala district functioning amidst numerous shortcomings. There should be someone to solve these issues.

Politicians are not aware of these. The Muslims in the Kurunegala district have realised that only the UPFA could solve the burning problems of the country.

“Majority Muslims in the district have rallied round me.

“The UNP has lost the elections by now. UNPers say that Ex-Ministers of the Provincial Council have committed various illegal activities and corruption. UNPers make baseless statements,” he added.
