Injuries to Evans, Rafael, Nani, Anderson

Jonny Evans, Rafael da Silva, midfielder Anderson and winger Nani joined Manchester United’s list of wounded as a place in the League Cup final was clinched with a victory over Derby on Tuesday.

Defenders Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra and Wes Brown were already sidelined. Manager Alex Ferguson said centerback Evans will be out for a week after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring injury, ruling him out of Saturday’s FA Cup fourth-round clash with Tottenham.

Ferguson fears Rafael will be out for a “few weeks” with hamstring trouble. Goalscorer Nani limped off before the final whistle with an undisclosed injury, while Anderson was carried off after the 4-2 win.
