First innings win

Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa gained an exciting first innings win over D.S. Senanayake Vidyalaya, Colombo in their inter-school under-19 cricket tournament match concluded at Moratuwa yesterday.

Visitors resuming their first essay on day two chasing an impossible target of 316 for 6 declared batted cautiously throughout the day and at the commencement of the final over they were 314 for 8 and last two wickets tumble without adding to the score to give Cambrians a first innings win.Shehan Jayasuriya was the pick of the bowlers for Cambrians with 3 for 69 runs.
